Murder by Choice — comic-style cutscenes (Lead 2D Artist @ Kevuru Games for Nordcurrent)

Murder by Choice — Nordcurrent. A hidden-object murder mystery where choices shape the story; NYX Game Awards winner, Best Narrative.

The game tells its story in comic-style cutscenes. These pages were produced at Kevuru Games, where I was Lead 2D Artist on the project: panel layout and flow, staging, character consistency across pages, style direction, paintover feedback and final QA — all against the client's script and a phone-sized screen.

Also here: the dining-room backgrounds and panel inserts built for the dinner sequence — the same set dressed and lit for several angles so panels stay continuous.

Workflow per page: thumbnails → line → flats → render. The process images show stage 2 (line + first colour) and stage 3 (line + flats) next to final pages — those stages are where most of the direction happened.
